Scheduling Your Surgery

Dr. Hope and the staff at Center for Cranial and Spinal Surgery understand that this can be a stressful time. We are here to help you and will make every effort to ensure that your experience with us, from start to finish, will be as stress free as possible.

Where and When Dr. Hope performs surgery

Monday mornings at Reston Hospital Center
Thursday & Friday afternoons at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital

All outpatient surgeries are performed Monday afternoon at Northern Virginia Surgery Center which is the outpatient surgery facility at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital.

Please contact our surgical coordinator to discuss available surgery dates.

Health insurance precertification

Our surgical coordinator will obtain precertification for your surgery from your health insurance provider. If you have questions about your health insurance plan benefits you should contact your insurance provider directly.

Rescheduling or Canceling surgery

Rescheduling surgery is complicated and time consuming. We do understand that unexpected circumstances can occur that make rescheduling necessary. Please check your schedule, coordinate with your employer, if necessary, and anyone who may be assisting you post operatively before you settle on a date with our surgical coordinator. A $250.00 cancellation fee will be charged for a surgery cancellation occurring less than one business week prior to surgery. This charge is waived if surgery is cancelled by a physician order or with approval from our practice administrator.
